Patient transfer Antalya: from hospital or hotel to a hospital abroad

Patient transfer from Antalya means moving a patient safely from a hospital or hotel in Antalya, Alanya, Side, Belek or Kemer to the airport and on to a hospital abroad or elsewhere. We coordinate the whole journey: ground ambulance at both ends, medical escort, a stretcher on a scheduled flight or an air ambulance, and the handover at the receiving hospital. We are reachable 24/7, and you receive a written quote before anything is booked.

What patient transfer from Antalya includes

Our patient transfers are door-to-door journeys, not local taxi-style ambulance rides. A typical transfer includes:

  • Pickup in Antalya: from the hospital ward or, for stable patients, from the hotel, by ground ambulance or suitable vehicle as part of the coordinated journey.
  • The flight: a seat with a medical escort, a stretcher on a scheduled flight, or an air ambulance for patients who need intensive care on board.
  • Arrival: a ground ambulance at the destination and handover to the receiving hospital or home.

We do not offer local-only ambulance rides within Antalya. Every transfer we coordinate is part of a journey to another city or country.

Bed-to-bed transfer, step by step

  1. Contact us by phone or WhatsApp with the patient's location, destination and condition.
  2. Medical report: with your consent, we obtain an up-to-date report from the treating hospital.
  3. Fitness to travel: the treating doctors and the doctor responsible for the transfer decide which way of travelling is safe.
  4. Written quote: you receive a written quote before anything is booked.
  5. Insurer approval: if there is insurance, we work under the insurer's guarantee of payment.
  6. Transfer day: ground ambulance to the airport, the flight with medical care, ground ambulance at arrival.
  7. Handover: the patient is handed over to the receiving hospital. See bed-to-bed transfer.

One coordinator manages the case from the first call to the handover.

Which option is right?

The doctors decide what is medically safe. Stable patients who can sit often travel on a scheduled flight with a doctor or nurse. Patients who need to lie flat may travel on a stretcher on a scheduled flight, if the airline approves; airlines usually ask for their own medical form (MEDIF). Patients who need intensive care on board travel by air ambulance, operated by a licensed operator. We coordinate and do not own aircraft.

Documents and insurance

Usually needed: passport, an up-to-date medical report (in English if possible), contact details of the treating doctor, the insurance policy and case number if there is one, and the receiving hospital or home address.

If the patient has travel insurance, contact the insurer's emergency line first and open a case: many insurers only cover a transfer they have approved in advance. We work under insurers' guarantees of payment and send case reports to insurers and assistance companies. Without insurance, the transfer can be arranged on a self-pay basis, with a written quote before booking. For a full repatriation home, see repatriation from Antalya.
