Help getting home after hospital treatment abroad
If you or a relative needs medical support to travel home, contact our coordination team with the departure city and intended destination. We help identify transport arrangements for medical review and provide a written quotation.
Start with these five details
- The city and country where the patient is now.
- The intended destination city and country.
- Whether the patient is in hospital and the treating team's contact details, when sharing is authorised.
- The preferred timing and whether a receiving hospital or care setting is needed.
- Whether a travel insurer or assistance company is already coordinating the case.
You do not need to decide on an aircraft or escort before contacting us. Avoid putting medical records, passport copies or other personal documents in public comments. We can discuss the appropriate next steps privately.
Which transport options can be considered?
- Medical escort on a commercial flight, where medically suitable.
- Stretcher transport on an approved commercial route, subject to airline acceptance.
- Air ambulance with an appointed flight operator and medical team.
- Bed-to-bed coordination, including the required ground transfers and handover.
Our coordination service covers worldwide requests. The linked guides include examples from Turkey; available arrangements depend on the actual route, clinical assessment, providers and approvals.
Before booking
The relevant medical team must assess suitability for travel. Clinical records and airline medical approval may be needed. Where hospital admission at the destination is required, acceptance and handover arrangements must be confirmed.
Ask for a written quotation that specifies the flight or travel arrangement, medical support, equipment, ground transfers, exclusions, payment terms and cancellation conditions. Timing is confirmed only after the required arrangements and approvals.
If insurance is involved
Contact your insurer's assistance team and obtain a case number. Confirm who is arranging transport and who has authorised payment before making another booking. Read our insurance coordination guide.
For hospital teams and partners
Contact us to discuss international discharge transport coordination. Please obtain appropriate patient authorisation before sharing clinical or personal information.
For an immediate medical emergency, contact the local emergency services or treating hospital. A transport quotation request does not replace emergency care.

We are an international intermediary and coordinator for patients and families. Flights and medical care are supplied by the contracted transport operators and medical providers; we do not operate aircraft ourselves.
